Mixed Media & Sculpture

 

The work I do with mixed media simply comes down to a fascination with found-objects. There is a loveable nature to the discarded objects we often take for granted. Every object comes with a simple formula for design; "I was made to  ____." Its simple formula can magnificently change when its purpose, or reason for initial creation, is redefined. I turn to mixed media when I'm having an identity crisis and find that it helps to let the objects redefine themselves in hopes it may lead me down a path to redefine the self.
